Three SEO engagements, each measured on a commercial outcome the client already tracked. Every figure below comes from the client’s own reporting, and each card links to the full case study.
Your account is led by a senior strategist, with planning sessions and quarterly reviews held in person in Brisbane where that suits your team. The strategist who scopes the roadmap is accountable for its results, and the team stays with you as the account grows.
We agree the target, the measurement and the timeline before any work starts, so the first month can be read against a number. If the audit says search is the wrong channel for the next stage of growth, we say so on the first call.
Organic sits alongside Google Ads, paid social, email and CRM in the same team, so the channels share what they learn. A term worth owning in search can be proven in paid first, which takes a lot of the guesswork out of the content plan.
Briefs, copy and technical fixes are produced by the same team that specified them. That keeps a roadmap moving at the pace it was planned at, and it means we can change direction inside a week when the data says to.
A senior specialist reviews your site, your search data and the Brisbane competitors ranking above you, and sets out where the opportunity sits and the order we would work through it. You get it in writing, with the reasoning behind every recommendation, within five business days.
Our SEO services cover the full scope of search, from technical foundations through to content, authority and AI search. The mix for your engagement is set by the audit, so the investment goes where it will return the most for your business.
Remove what stops search engines reading, rendering and trusting the site. Crawl and index control, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data and migration planning, done before content effort goes anywhere near it.
Decide which searches are worth winning. We map demand against your margins and your sales cycle, cluster it by intent, then agree the order things get built in so each month builds on the last.
Pages built to rank, read well and convert. Briefs come from the search data, the writing comes from people who know the category, and clusters are filled out so a topic is covered properly the first time.
Visibility in the map pack and suburb-level searches for businesses serving a Brisbane catchment. Google Business Profile optimisation, location pages, reviews and citations, for single locations and multi-site networks across Greater Brisbane.
Credibility that rankings depend on. Earned coverage, brand mentions and links from publications your customers already read, built through outreach that starts with something worth covering.
Traffic is half the job. We track the rankings that matter commercially, watch what visitors do once they land, and test the parts of the page that decide whether a visit becomes an enquiry or an order.
For businesses that serve a defined area, the map results above the organic listings account for a significant share of clicks. Local SEO makes sure you appear in them for the suburbs and service areas that generate business, and it is planned alongside your wider search strategy so the two support each other.
Every engagement covers the same ground. What changes is how much of each, and which one goes first.
A full technical, content and authority review, turned into a prioritised plan with the commercial reason for each item written next to it.
Every priority term mapped to a page, so two pages never compete for the same search and no valuable query is left without a home.
Fixes specified in enough detail for your developers to ship, or implemented by us directly where we have access.
Briefs, writing, optimisation and refresh cycles, produced by the people who decided the page was worth having.
Digital PR and outreach aimed at publications your customers read, with every placement recorded and reviewed.
Search Console, GA4 and rank tracking set up properly, then reported against the commercial target we agreed at the start.
The first six months have a shape. Constraints come off first, content and authority follow, and only then is it worth widening. We agree that up front and report against it from week one.
Technical, content and authority reviewed in full, opportunities sized against commercial value, and a prioritised plan agreed with your team.
Crawl, index and speed constraints cleared, site structure and internal linking corrected, tracking verified end to end so later results can be trusted.
Priority pages built or rewritten, clusters filled out, and digital PR started so new pages have something behind them when they land.
Effort concentrates behind the clusters that are moving, underperformers are refreshed or retired, and we widen into the next opportunity.
Reporting is the part of SEO worth being specific about. Here’s exactly what lands in your inbox each month, and what happens on the call afterwards.
More searches now end in an AI generated answer, and the brands cited inside those answers are the ones that get considered. Generative engine optimisation is the work of making your content easy for those systems to quote accurately, and it runs on the same foundations as the rest of your SEO.
Google ranks pages, not websites. Every result on the page is the outcome of three things holding up at once, and most programmes stall because one of them was never dealt with.
Can Google tell what a page is for? That comes from the words on it, how the site is structured around it, and which of your other pages point at it. This is where most sites lose first, with two pages chasing the same search and neither one winning it.
Would anyone else vouch for you? Links and mentions from credible sites are still the strongest evidence Google has that a page deserves to outrank a competitor. It is also the slowest signal to build, which is why it starts in month one rather than month six.
Can people use the page once they land on it? Speed, stability, mobile and how quickly someone finds the answer all feed back into rankings, and they decide whether the traffic you win turns into anything.
Get all three right and SEO compounds. Every page published adds another way in, every link earned lifts the pages around it, and a site that has been worked on properly for a year is cheaper to grow than one starting from scratch.
It also explains how long search engine optimisation takes: a few weeks for technical wins, three to six months for content and authority to show, and twelve for a fair read on revenue.
Send us the site and the Brisbane searches that matter to the business. The audit sets out what would move the number, in the order it should be done.
Tell us what you sell, where you sell it and which searches matter to the business. We come back with a point of view on where your organic growth can come from and what it would take.
Tell us what you need from your marketing. We’ll take a closer look at your business and get in touch to discuss how we can help.
One of our strategists will review your enquiry and get back to you within one business day.
SOUP is an independent, senior-led SEO agency established in 2019. We serve Brisbane and Queensland businesses, brands across Australia and international companies entering the Australian market, with the same senior team on every account.
Search rewards decisions made early: what you go after, what you leave alone, and how you will know it worked. We make those calls with the whole picture in front of us, because content, digital PR and AI search sit in the same team as Google Ads, email and CRM. Organic gets planned next to everything else you run.
Most sites we inherit are unfocused more than broken. There's content, and some of it ranks, but it was commissioned a topic at a time with nothing joining it up. Two pages compete for the same query. The pages that convert best have no internal links pointing at them. A migration two years ago quietly cost a third of the authority and nobody connected the two. On Brisbane sites, a common addition is a business competing for a city-wide term it is not yet positioned to win, while the suburb-level terms it could rank for remain unaddressed.
None of that shows up in a rankings report, which is why every engagement starts with an audit. The slow feedback loop is what makes search unforgiving: a weak plan can run for two quarters before anyone notices, and by then you have paid for two quarters of it.
AI generated answers now sit above the results for a growing share of queries, which changes what a click is worth and which pages earn one. The good news is that the same signals earning a ranking are the ones those systems read. Most of it is familiar work done better: writing more clearly, structuring information so a correct sentence can be lifted out of it, and being unambiguous about who you are and what you can credibly claim. That work is covered on our GEO services page.
The second shift is commercial. Traffic on its own is a weaker signal than it used to be, so the number worth reporting is organic revenue or qualified enquiries. That's the target we set at the start, and it's what the monthly report is built around.
We're a good fit for businesses that already have something worth ranking: a real product or service, a site that can be changed, and a commercial model where an extra enquiry or order is clearly worth money. We work with Brisbane businesses across ecommerce, professional services, education, health, property and the trades, and with national and international brands from the same team.
Where a business needs volume inside a month, Google Ads is the channel that delivers it, and the audit says so. Search engine optimisation is the investment that compounds behind it.
It starts with the audit, a written document that sets out what we found and why it matters. From there we scope the work against what the audit found, so what you're buying is visible before you sign anything.
Most engagements begin within a fortnight of that conversation. Month one goes on the constraints that would otherwise cap everything built on top of them, and it is the reason month six looks different.
The same team runs national programmes and dedicated pages for the other cities most of our clients are in.
